Who we are

Every story has its heroes. In ours, it is the volunteers who make the project possible.

Camille

Camille

Camille Nicole is an educator dedicated to raising awareness of environmental issues. She is passionate about change and about showing people how they can take action against climate change, and she is committed to promoting sustainability and empowering others to make a positive impact on the planet.

Camille is also writing a book about the exploitation of women in the au pair programme. Her advocacy highlights the importance of social justice and the need for systemic change to protect vulnerable communities. Through her work, she strives to inspire and engage others to build a better future for all.

Beverley

Beverley

Beverley Chelsea is a Zimbabwean citizen who is passionate about investing in the development of other people. For her, Space4Climate is a platform for facilitating change in the world by educating kids about climate change.

She has taught children as a private tutor in Zimbabwe and Russia, and is currently studying for a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering at Siberian Federal University in Russia. Beverley believes in making contributions to other people’s lives that will keep growing in our absence.

Sandra

Sandra

Sandra lives in central Portugal, where she is a primary school teacher. She holds a master’s degree in Portuguese Studies and is finishing her PhD thesis in literature.

She also writes children’s books and takes part in projects on a variety of themes.

Fódhla

Fódhla

Fódhla is an Irish educator with a diverse range of interests and skills. With a BA in Music and Archaeology and a postgraduate diploma in Interactive Digital Media, she has pursued her passion for education in a variety of fields.

She has taught piano and currently works as an English language teacher, but her curiosity and fascination with space science and exploration have led her to pursue the subject in her free time. With a thirst for knowledge and a love of teaching, Fódhla is a dynamic, engaging educator who inspires her students to reach for the stars.

Airi

Airi

Airi grew up in Japan and has spent the last ten years in Europe. She studied psychology in the Netherlands and Germany, and has worked as a teacher for children from kindergarten to high school.

Her passions include learning, being creative and playing music, as well as playing with her cat!

Georgia

Georgia

Georgia was born and raised in Bujumbura, Burundi, and has had a lifelong fascination with open spaces and nature. With a strong interest in science and technology, she continued her education in Greece, where she earned a degree in informatics.

She worked as a programmer-analyst for a few years before moving into education, teaching computer science, ICT, STEM and robotics in Athens public schools. She is a member of the STEM Career Adviser Network, an EU Scientix Ambassador and an EU Code Week leader, and she takes part in numerous European initiatives, including eTwinning and Erasmus.

Hajar

Hajar

Hajar lives in Germany, but has spent most of her life in the Philippines and Kuwait. Having noticed clear changes in her home town, she takes a great interest in how accelerating climate change is affecting our geography. She hopes that greater awareness and understanding of the crisis will lead to more sustainable solutions and action worldwide.

She studied philosophy and sociology, which makes her naturally curious, and she loves learning about anything and everything. If you need an extra teammate for a trivia game, she’s your gal.

Jim

Founder

Jim is a space educator who is passionate about saving lives, especially children’s, and VERY passionate about Africa.

He has done a lot of volunteer work: he founded SGAC, was Education Director at World Space Week (WSW), was a Governing Member of the International Space University (ISU), helped Students for the Exploration and Development of Space (SEDS), and is quite active in the IAF.

Above all, Jim is married with children (n = 4)! He is Dutch, works at OHB DC and is based in Bonn, Germany.
